Shenandoah National Park Waterfalls Guide

Waterway: Rose River, 2 waterfalls
Distance: From Skyline Drive, 1.3 miles (one way) to the upper falls, 1.4 to the lower falls

Directions: access via the Fishers Gap parking area at mile 49.4 along Skyline Drive. Cross the drive to get onto the Rose River Fire Road. Take the left trail just past the chain (the Skyland-Big Meadows Horse Trail) to leave the fire road. In about 0.6-mile the yellow-blazed horse trail turns left. Keep going straight downwards on the blue-blazed Rose River Loop Trail until you reach the upper falls. The lower falls is just a short ways below it off the trail.
